La Fusionista!

All art evolves and belly dance is no exception. Although Leyla respects and loves the art of traditional raqs sharki, for artistic and theatrical venues she also likes to experiment with fusion. She specializes in super sassy jazz/ belly dance fusion and lyrical belly dance (fusion of lyrical dance and belly dance). In 2009 Leyla joined forces with Andrea Love and the result of the combined expertise is a modern and captivating dance style that has delighted audiences across northeast Ohio for the past three years. Having recently relocated to Columbus, Ohio, Leyla is developing a new branch of the performance troupe and training program based on the work that she and Andrea did together.
