| I bought this one off of Leeann from the Bellydanceshop.com. She deals mostly in Bellas, but said this one is not from Bella, but is very similar, although the quality of this one is actually a little better (her words). She would laugh if she knew I was selling this thing after all we went through (it got lost in the mail and she refunded my money then a couple of months later it turned up but in the meantime I had bought and sold two costumes trying to find one that fit- geez!). Just as a side note, Leeann offers imo the absolute best customer service of any of the major costume dealers. She was great through this whole ordeal. After all of that I had lost a few pounds in between and my hips won't hold this up. Anyway, this costume is the most beautiful color you could imagine. It's not purple, more of a purply majenta or very rich jewel tone plum. Velvet and chiffon. Even the lining on the bra is velvet! Tons of HUGE crystals and beautiful beadwork. Gorgeous sleeves! 6 pieces including skirt, bra, 2 sleeves, headband and a half circle veil. The veil has some soiling and there is one small snag on the skirt. Other than that there are no noted flaws. It has been worn three times for very short performances because I stopped wearing it when I realized my underwear were constantly showing. I would describe the condition as excellent aside from the soiling on the veil. I think that would come out too, but I haven't tried it. Kinda scard to try it since it is not that noticeable as is. Asking $750.00 plus shipping. I paid $825 in September. Measurements (needs a bit of t & a to fill it out- I have the t not the a lol): Bra: D cup maybe DD. C's could definately do it too with padding. The rib cage measurement is around 31-32" and there is no overlap on that. See pics. Skirt: Top of skirt is 35" all the way around. See pics I measured it at 17.5 flat. It is not stretchy at all. Side zipper and hook and eye closure at top. It's kind of hard to measure it all the way around too because of the V shaped top of skirt. Bottom of the beaded part of the skirt also measures 17" flat but because of the upside down U shape will open up when worn to be bigger. I usually have my costumes cut at 36" for the lower hip and it is big on me so I think it would fit maybe up to a 38". The length of the skirt is 36.5" from the outside of the hip down. For reference, my measurements are 31" ribcage, D or DD bra cup, 33" upper hip and 36" lower hip. Skirt length is usually 36". This costume would be perfect if just a little smaller in the hips or even if it was stretchy. I have been given some advice on how to make it fit, but I'm afraid I would botch it up. It's too nice to fool with too much. It's the nicest costume I've ever had. |
